Huntingdon Area Group of the Wildlife Trust

The Trust is made up of members of the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Peterborough. Our aim is to support the Trust and we do this by holding talks, activities and conservation sessions to raise awareness and to raise funds. Throughout each winter we hold talks in Brampton and each summer we host events such as wildlife bbq's, or woodland nightwalks . In addition, volunteers visit the local nature reserves to make sure they are well looked after. Anyone can join in these events, though people under the age of 18 must be with a parent or carer.

You don't need to be a member of the Wildlife Trust to join in with any of
the activities. However, if you do join, your annual subscription goes
directly to benefiting local wildlife.

95% of the population of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Peterborough are never more than ten miles from a Wildlife Trust nature reserve. For details of all the reserves, and other info, please have a
look at the local website (www.wildlifetrust-huntsareagroup.org.uk) and the
county one (www.wildlifebcnp.org). Or ring George Cottam on 01480 450809, or Andy Curtis on 077 919 74533.

We are particularly interested in hearing from (or about) people who can
give talks on local aspects of wildlife, habitats, natural history, etc. Preferably, we would like to hear a speaker in action before making a
booking, if possible.
