Durobrivae: A Town Out of Time
A town whose fortunes were intimately connected with the military campaigns of the great Syrian Emperor Septimius Severus in what we now call Scotland.
 
The Augustan Histories (Historia Augustae)
The tabloid press of its day, the Historia Augustae tells the story of the late Roman Emperors. Come and hear the forgotten tales of Caracalla the Emperor who made everyone a Roman citizen ( and liable to to pay taxes!), Elagabalus, the transsexual Emperor who fancied himself a Sun God, and the Danubian Emperor Claudius the 2nd ‘Gothicus’ who for his sins died of the plague.
